Petition for dilapidated property on South East Corner of Quimby and White roads
Latest Updates
The owner of the MOM has talked to the client who is subletting the lease to MOM and conveyed the grievances. She has reached out and said that facilities has been improved by addition of new lights and a contract to keep the premises clean. I've also reached out to the council member staff and had a meeting with them. The area is now being looked after more than before. It's now up to residents to start using the facilities to make it less abandon so that new businesses can come in and make it even better.

Subject: Blighted and unmaintained property City of San Jose Building Code Violation
Madam/Sir,
I, Harbinder Sikka, am the elected ‘Neighborhood Commissioner’ from San Jose District 8 and have been since July 2016. It has been brought to my notice by multiple residents of District 8 that the shopping complex on the crossing of Quimby Rd and White Rd with the address 2812 S WHITE RD SAN JOSE 95148 is EXTREMELY dilapidated!
From the city records, it seems your company owns the property so I would like to bring to your notice that this is not an acceptable state for the residents and you should restore the shopping mall to better working conditions with proper maintenance and security. The mall is in dire need of repairs and upgrades. In addition, it needs visible security cameras with multiple signs that the area is under 24 hour surveillance.
It’s a violation of the city of San Jose Building code to not maintain commercial properties. I’ve filed a code violation report with the city of San Jose. I’m sending this petition to you so that you can take action to resolve this issue as soon as possible otherwise I’ll send this petition to the city council so that they may take the proper action.
Enclosed are the 160 signatures of the concerned residents on 6 pages.
Sincerely yours,
Harbinder Sikka
